David Tanis

David Tanis is a valued member of our non-profit organization, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to our cause. With a diverse background that includes military service, diplomatic security, law enforcement, entrepreneurial ventures, and a commitment to community service, David's unique skills and perspectives greatly benefit our mission.

David's journey began with four years of service in the Marine Corps, where he exhibited unwavering commitment, resilience, and exceptional leadership qualities. He achieved the prestigious rank of Sergeant during his service, a testament to his dedication and ability to inspire and lead others. Additionally, his exemplary performance led to meritorious promotions, highlighting his outstanding leadership abilities.

David deployed to Iraq twice during his military career, showcasing his dedication to serving his country in high-stress environments.

Following his time in the military, David transitioned into a career with the State Department as a Uniformed Protection Officer. For eight years, he focused on physical security, providing protection to diplomats, cabinet members, and even U.S. Presidents at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. His role demanded the highest level of professionalism and expertise, which he consistently delivered.

David's commitment to safeguarding his community led him to the Department of Homeland Security, where he has served as a Federal Police Officer in New York City for the last seven years and continues to do so presently. His unwavering dedication to public safety has made a significant impact on the security of our city.

In addition to his public service and law enforcement career, David is also an entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He is the founder of the "4 Service Foundation," a testament to his commitment to giving back to the community and supporting charitable causes.

Furthermore, he works as a Loan Originator at Empire State Mortgage, showcasing his versatility and ability to excel in various professional endeavors.

Tania Johmann

Tania Johmann's journey has been marked by an unwavering commitment to education, a passion for helping others, and a dedication to making a difference in the lives of those she serves. With a career spanning 14 years as a 1st-grade teacher in the same school district, Tania's impact on young learners has been profound.

Educational Excellence: Tania holds a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, a Supervisor's license, and an ESL certificate, all of which reflect her dedication to continuous learning and professional growth. Her expertise in early childhood education has positively influenced countless students' development and set the stage for their academic success.

Exemplary Achievements: Tania's outstanding contributions to the field of education were recognized in 2016 when she was honored as the "Teacher of the Year." This accolade stands as a testament to her dedication, innovation, and the lasting impact she has had on her students' lives.

Advocacy and Service: Tania's dedication to service extends beyond the classroom. At the age of 17, she embarked on a remarkable journey as a "Volunteer" at St. Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where she supported critical medical research. Her early commitment to service demonstrated her deep sense of empathy and a desire to make a positive impact on society's most vulnerable.

In 2018, Tania received the prestigious "Exemplary Educator Award," further recognizing her exceptional contributions to education and her enduring commitment to fostering a love of learning in her students.

Empowering Others: Tania's compassion extends to empowering others to overcome challenges. She initiated the "Michael Valdivia Scholarship," a scholarship that provides school funds for university or trade school to men with mental health issues. This scholarship reflects her commitment to breaking down barriers and supporting those facing mental health challenges on their educational journey.

Community Advocate: Tania's benevolence extends to her local community, where she volunteers with the Angels Organization, an invaluable support system for victims of domestic abuse. Her involvement with this organization underscores her commitment to uplifting those in need and creating a safer, more compassionate society.

Cultural Heritage and Language Proficiency: Tania Johmann proudly identifies as Cuban American and is fluent in Spanish. Her cultural background enriches her ability to connect with a diverse range of students and families, fostering an inclusive and welcoming educational environment.

Charles Jordan

Charles Jordan, M.D., holds a distinguished position as a board member of the 4 Service Foundation. Dr. Jordan is a highly respected orthopedic surgeon, specializing in orthopedic trauma and general orthopedic surgery, and is associated with Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. He is also an esteemed member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization comprising over 180 physicians across various specialties, closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida.

Dr. Jordan's expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including the management of complex fractures, musculoskeletal injuries, upper and lower extremity reconstruction, and chronic post-traumatic orthopedic conditions.

His academic journey began with an undergraduate degree from Duke University. He pursued his medical education at Rutgers University, graduating at the pinnacle of his class and earning membership in the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Jordan continued his training with a residency in orthopedic surgery at the prestigious NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York, where he also served as administrative chief resident. Subsequently, he further honed his skills through a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa.

Dr. Jordan's contributions to the field extend beyond clinical practice. He is a sought-after lecturer, sharing his expertise on orthopedic injuries on both national and international platforms. His research findings have found a place in leading medical journals and influential medical textbooks, focusing on orthopedic treatments and surgical techniques.

In addition to his professional commitments, Dr. Jordan has actively engaged with the community. He has served as a physician for the renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Theater and the New York City Public School Athletic League. Currently, he dedicates his expertise as an assistant team physician for the Florida Panthers hockey team.
